July 2008 (Month End) Index Report:
Going against historical periodic trends (see the PCI Annual Comparison chart at right), the Entrex Private Company Index (PCI) saw a 2% increase in overall group revenues during the month of July.
In both 2006 and 2007 the PCI group reported revenues that caused the overall Index to decline a moderate amount. The 2007 month over month decline was 5.8% while the 2006 decline was even deeper at 8.6%.
This same historical/periodic data reflects a sharp spike in August that led the Index to year-end high growth points in both 2006 and 2007. It will be much to the relief of private companies if the same can be expected for 2008.
